There will be NO program this Friday! A lot of you have VBC and there's the special program tomorrow night. Although there will be no regular program, a handful of us will be at church from 5:30 to plan and prepare for the graduation banquet. There will be pizza. Please inform one of us if you're coming! |

After making the new email address just for the website, I've also moved the calendar to the other email. This will make it easier for me to pass on the website stuff to the next person. I wonder who it will be... Also I went through and changed the times and dates display on the Upcoming Events section to be easier to read. |

 Church retreat is coming! It's from September 3-5. Registration is already open! The deadline is August 29. The September 3rd part will be at church while the 4-5th part is at Lakeview Conference Center in Waxahachie. There's a lot of information about this, but I'll just put the stuff that's pertinent to the youth.Â
The speaker is none other than Pastor Don Laing. The topic, CONNECT. Here's the short bio that comes with the camp info:Â
Bio:  Rev. Laing grew up all over the US and Germany and became overwhelmed by the Good News of Jesus Christ at the end of his undergrad studies.  After coming to Dallas to study at DTS, he accepted the call to serve the youth at Carrollton Chinese Church in 1996. From 1996 to 2009, Pastor Don served various roles as youth director to lead pastor. He is currently involved in pursuing doctoral studies at DTS and dreaming of new means to expand God’s kingdom through the next generation of Asian Americans.  He enjoys skiing, reading, and eating.  Rev. Laing and wife, Amy, have 3 wonderful children: Joseph (12), Gabriel (8), and Fiona (5).
Roberto already showed a whole lot of pictures from this place. There are many more on the website, but here is a small taste. Yes, a lake with blob and climbing thing.

This is just a small smattering of what's available at this place. The website has all the rest. We have a great speaker and a great complex. Get ready for a great retreat and register! |

 Well, they've inspected the building and it's been approved except for one little thing. For everyone that's been in the new room, you all know there is a really strong echo. So before we can use the room, they need to do some work to reduce the echo because it's just too much.. As for usage, the room will be usable. As for delightful echo fun, there will be none. As for any of you that never got a chance to experience the echo, too bad! Expect to see the building finished soon! |

 Well, my time left at CCCFC is fast ticking away, only a few months left. All the email I've been getting for the youth website have been going to my personal email addresses. That's ok for now, but once I leave it'll be a hassle to pass on all those things, since I'll be taking my own email address with me. So I've made an email address specifically for the youth group that I'll leave with whoever replaces me. The new email address is
