So a while ago a freind of mine found out i was going to a christian event. He expressed his suprise and said "WOW, i didnt know you were a christian!" ......ummmm... ouch? At first i thought to my self, ummm how long have you knew me?? And you just now realized that im a christian?? Then another thought came to me as i reflected on his words. 'what have i've been doing to show tat i am a christian?'.... Now i'm not saying i cuss, get drunk and do other 'bad' stuff all the time, but how am i different form the other non-chirstians? Alot of my non-christian freinds are actually really really good peoples, better than me even!! (...naa thats not possible ) so what makes me any different than them???[/quote]

To profess means to affirm openly; declare or claim. (yes i did have to look that up....maybe i need to go to kd more and work on my sat vocabs -.-) Basically saying that as a christian we are called to be followers of Christ, the light and salt of the world. A lot of people nowadays belives that once they become a christian, they will be blessed by God and become rich or even famous. That once they say they're a christian everything in the world will be perfect for them and they can just sit back and relax because they are already saved. Wrong. God has called on each one of us to use the gifts he has giving us to bring glory on to him. Whether through service, teaching, or whatever. See the christian life is not an easy one. But if you truly love Christ, then just being able to serve him or worshipping his name can give you a joy that nothing else can bring.[/quote]

everyones ears. that would be weird. but if you walk around school or where ever, people should notice that there is something different about you. something that you do but no ones else does. For example, of every of your freinds at school cusses but you dont people will notice that. or maybe theres this one kid who always sits alone during lunch and you walk over and invites him/her over to eat with you guys as a random acts of kindness. or maybe not gissiping about a certain person when others are.[/quote]



 


i want to challege you guys this week to be more than just a christians, but a christ follower.
